Six Stars, Three Treasures & Three Brains

Qi Gong morning workshop with Chris McAlister Jerusalem, 16 July 2019

[לגרסה בעברית - לחצו כאן]

Every year, in July, Chris McAlister comes to Israel!

As has become customary in the past few years, this year he will also give two short Qi Gong workshops in Jerusalem. One in the afternoon, and one in the morning.

The theme of this year's Jerusalem morning workshop is: "Six Stars, Three Treasures & Three Brains".

What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter. Albert Einstein

In this workshop we will be working with:

  • 6 Stars Qigong: A form coming to us from the Yellow Dragon Temple in Southern China, and which among it's main functions are uniting the three Dan Tian and Harmonizing the Three Treasures: Jing, Qi and Shen.

  • We will discuss The Three Treasures  - Jing, Qi & Shen.

  • We will practice the 3 Dan Tian/3 Brain Meditation.

More about this, in the description written by Chris, at the end of the text.

For those who still haven't experienced working with Chris - Chris is a wonderful teacher, that brings an abundance of depth into the practice of Qi Gong. The open, warm and personal meeting, and the pleasant guidance, enhance the possibility to experience the internal flow while practicing.

This workshop is intended both for newer and for more experienced participants!

We would be happy if you share the information with other people who might be interested.

In Chris's words:

6 Stars, 3 Treasures and 3 Brains

What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter. Albert Einstein

6 Stars Qigong

Six Stars is one of the forms used in the Dai An Pai (Daoist Elixir) system, which can be traced back over 1300 years to the founder Lu Dong Bin, one of the 8 so-called daoist Immortals. It comes from the Yellow Dragon Temple in Southern China and was taught by Master L K Lew.

Its main functions are to:

  • Unite the three Dan Tian

  • Strengthen the legs and open the spine

  • Harmonize the Three Treasures: Jing, Qi and Shen

  • Create calm focus and controlled power in just ten minutes

3 Treasures

The Three Treasures are Jing, Qi and Shen - three interlinked and slightly overlapping concepts, used in Chinese medicine as a general way of assessing a person's vital resources in relation to each other.

 - Jing means essence - the most basic and fundamental

 - Qi is vital energy or life force, a generic term for all forms of energy and process

 - Shen is used to denominate soul, spirit or radiance.

3 Dan Tian/3 Brain Meditation

If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.
